Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. Her most famous role is Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting while attending Preparatory School. In the late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. Her studies in theatre were through Northwestern University. A semester was taken in the British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons performing in Chicago the theatre before moving to film and TV roles. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. Anna continued to be in film and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late 1990's. Then she was placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years in Deadwood's second season. In 2008, she was picked as Skyler as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood were also the highlights of her work. Gunn appeared on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was launched in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the relationship he has with Skyler are mirrored in the television show.
